1000 DAYS OF US - Parental Support Interventions in the Care of Children in the First Three Years of Life
ENAC Veneto aims to support new parents during the first 1000 days of their children's lives, fostering a midle/long-term model to be included in family policy plans. The initiative also seeks to implement measures that strengthen the provision of family support services and proximity services (such as family coaching, networking, counseling, etc.).
Thanks to the valuable collaboration with local municipalities, ULSS (Local Health Units), public and private childcare services, and third-sector organizations, numerous activities will be organized, including individual and group informational meetings, seminars, workshops, and individual home support activities to assist new families during this delicate developmental phase.
Target Audience
The following groups can participate in the activities:
- Parents of children from 0 to 3 years of age
- Family units, including children in disadvantaged situations
- Family units and individuals interested in forming a family
- Public and private operators working in child services
- Other figures who have significant relationships with the child and/or the family and contribute to ensuring the child’s psycho-physical well-being, growth, and care during the 0-3 years period.
Scheduled Activities
- One-on-one home visits to support new mothers and new families in managing everyday life during the first years with their children (including breastfeeding, sleep, weaning, emotions, etc.).
- Small group meetings (6-8 participants) led by professionals from various sectors essential for the harmonious growth of children and families. These will be opportunities to meet and share experiences for new parents, groups of mothers, groups of fathers, sessions about maternal and child health, as well as child safety.
- Informational seminars/webinars/workshops on various topics, such as Law and Welfare, Digital Technologies, and much more.
